In a global context marked by conflict, Virtuoso &amp; Belcanto actively brings together young musicians from different countries &#8211; including regions affected by war and tension such as the Middle East, Ukraine, and Russia &#8211; to build an orchestral program together.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"608\" data-end=\"1173\">The project is carried out in close collaboration with the <strong>Barenboim-Said Akademie<\/strong> in Berlin and the <strong>Fundaci\u00f3n Barenboim-Said<\/strong> in Seville. The prestigious academy founded by Maestro Daniel Barenboim and the Palestinian intellectual Edward Said, together with the Spanish foundation (home to the activities of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra), has long represented a concrete model of dialogue through music, bringing together young artists from conflict areas and transforming artistic collaboration into a space for encounter, creation, and mutual understanding.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1175\" data-end=\"1209\"><strong>The orchestra will be composed of:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1210\" data-end=\"1405\">\n<li data-section-id=\"xnp9io\" data-start=\"1210\" data-end=\"1252\">Virtuoso &amp; Belcanto students (strings)<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"4gyrmf\" data-start=\"1253\" data-end=\"1298\">students from the Barenboim-Said Akademie<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1sl7wqk\" data-start=\"1299\" data-end=\"1358\">students from the \u201cL. Boccherini\u201d Conservatory in Lucca<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"c8lmyb\" data-start=\"1359\" data-end=\"1405\">students from the Fundaci\u00f3n Barenboim-Said<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1407\" data-end=\"1720\">Rehearsals will take place throughout<strong> both weeks of the Festival<\/strong> and may include intermediate performances. The workshop will culminate in an <strong>orchestral concert on Sunday, August 2<\/strong>, at the Church of San Francesco, conducted by <strong>Nabil Shehata<\/strong>, Principal Conductor of the Barenboim-Said Akademie Orchestra in Berlin. Orchestral training will be led by<strong> Jan Bj\u00f8ranger<\/strong>, long-time head of orchestral projects at Virtuoso&amp;Belcanto. It is possible to <strong>apply for multiple workshops<\/strong>, consistent with one&#8217;s stay in Lucca and other activities attended. For example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A student attending the Festival for at least 10 days, with only the solo course, will have more opportunities to participate in one or more workshops.<\/li>\n<li>A student who is present for only one week and enrolled in multiple courses (solo and chamber music) will have less opportunity to be admitted to a workshop, to avoid organizational overlap.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row el_id=&#8221;step-6&#8243;][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=&#8221;Application for admission for external students&#8221;
