Chamber music competition scholarships – Luigi Boccherini Award

• 1st prize: € 2,500

• 2nd prize: € 1,500

• 3rd prize: € 1,000

• Adolfo Betti Award (offered by Animando – Centro di Promozione Musicale) for the best string quartet: € 3,000

Only chamber groups enrolled in the courses can take part to the competition.

The musical programme has a free choice of repertoire, provided that one of the pieces is composed between 1770 and 1950 (arrangements provided by the composer or authorised by him/her are admitted), for a maximum total duration of circa 20 minutes.

The string quartets must perform at least one piece from the classical period (one movement is acceptable as well).

The string quartet winner of the Adolfo Betti Award will have to perform in a remote concert organised by Animando – Centro di Promozione Musicale, under penalty of forfeiture of the award.

Winners may be notified for possible concerts in future seasons of Italian and international concert organisations.
